Description:
The Upper School Receptionist position will function as the first person parents and visitors meet when they walk into the Upper School.
Greeting and welcoming guests and parents is one of the primary responsibilities, along with assisting parents and students in practical ways as part of partnering with SBA families to raise children of character.
Responsibilities:
Greet all guests entering the Upper School entrance.
Maintain proper records and register visitor entries.
Help keep accurate attendance records on FACTS and maintain the attendance program SchoolPass.
Assist Upper School administration with various clerical duties.
Answer multi-line phone system and intercom system.
Aide students who need minor medical attention or communicate needs to school nurse.
Distribute prescription and non-prescription medicine to students when nurse isn’t available.
Communicate well and partner with parents on a daily basis.
Be able to collaborate with teachers and work with a team mentality.
Attending calls and keeping records of letters, couriers, and other posts.
Interact with people through emails and telephone calls.
Have great interpersonal skills and an engaging personality.
Have effective communication skills in terms of reading, writing, and speaking.
Being able to multitask and maintain job responsibilities, while working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with parents, guests, and students.
Have good management and organizational skills.
Be well versed in and aware of SBA’s rules, policies, and Upper School handbooks.
Have good decision-making abilities.
Have a strong commitment to school philosophy.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2 or more years
