Strength and Conditioning Coach

Summary:
D-BAT Waco (Waco, TX) is currently seeking applicants for a full/part time Strength & Conditioning Coach. Duties include but are not limited to: Leads and supervises sport-specific program planning for facility athletes. Assists in the development and assessment of long- and short-term goals for individual athletes and teams. Also assists in the communication of program planning with coaches, training schedules, and designs of programs for year-round strength, power, speed, agility and mobility development.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be expected to:
· Coaches/mentors athletes in their Strength and Conditioning training-in the weight room.
· Provide athletes with sport specific instruction focused on injury prevention and improved performance.
· Collaborate in meetings with coaches and/or strength instructors regarding the Strength and Conditioning program and participants
· Sets up facilities and performs duties related to preparation for work with athletes
· Supervises assistants, interns, etc.
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, exercise science, or sport-performance related discipline or Nationally Recognized CPT or Higher Certification
· Ability to recognize and advocate for changes due to new information and or tools in sports performance
· Ability to collaborate and learn in a team environment
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficient in basic use of computers including Microsoft Office
Preferred Requirements / Qualifications:
· NSCA:CSCS/CSCCa:SCCC Certification or currently working towards one of these certifications
· Perform Better Certifications including Functional Movement Screen and Y-Balance Screen
Additional Requirements / Qualifications:
· Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as bending, reaching, throwing, etc.
Compensation:
· Compensation will be based on qualifications and prior experience
