Universal EVS Worker - Housekeeping
As a Universal EVS Worker - Housekeeping, you will be responsible for ensuring clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying surroundings for the residents, employees, and public. This role involves repetitive, manual labor, including a wide variety of cleaning and custodial tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Sweep and mop resident rooms, halls, stairways, elevators, and other assigned areas.
- Clean and scour toilets, tubs, and showers in patient tub rooms and public bathrooms.
- Clean lounge furniture, nursing stations, medicine and treatment rooms, tub and shower rooms, clinic area, and other ancillary and activity areas.
- Maintain the facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition by cleaning equipment and furnishings.
- Help sort soiled linen, fold clean linens, and process resident laundry.
- Responsible for disposing of human waste, body fluids, trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
Qualifications:
- Some knowledge of the materials, equipment, and methods commonly used in cleaning, disinfecting, and linen/laundry processing.
- Some experience in performing custodial work.
- Ability to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents.
- Ability to read and write in English, follow simple instructions, and work in close quarters with others.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $19.28
