$5000 Signing bonus
General Statement:
Under the direction of THE Program Director or Manager, performs responsible tasks in providing coordination among the participants, guardians, natural supports and paid supports, staff, and community organizations. Responsible for registering participants for the club, securing RSVPs for the club, and monitoring attendance, health, and safety for the club. Responsible for significant coordination among community organizations that fosters partnership. Coordinator will need to facilitate the exchange of information between program staff, participants, guardians, any natural and paid supports, and community organizations. Will supervise staff assigned to the Social Club. Performs related work as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Human Services Field (Or a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development/Family Relations, Occupational Therapy, Community Mental Health, Chemical Dependence, Physical Therapy, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Recreational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Education) AND two (2) years experience in working with adults who have a diagnosis of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Dual Diagnosis.
Additional Requirements:
Must be credentialed as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) or must obtain within thirty (30) days of hire. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays and/or irregular hours. Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and current automobile insurance. Will consider a candidate without a chauffer’s license, but must obtain one within thirty (30) days of hire.
Preferences:
Experience supervising or managing programs for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
