Form of work- Responsible for providing clerical support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit.
- Maintains and updates patients' records for a given unit.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision of department director/clinical coordinator.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- High school diploma with 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field.
- Responsible for answering phones, call lights and fielding those to appropriate destinations, entering charges and auditing as directed by department director.
