PRIMARY FUNCTION: Directs/Coordinates overall daily operations of the designated Clubhouse with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision, facilities management,
Community relations and membership administration
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Leadership
1. Plans and oversees the administration of Club activities that support the Youth Development Strategy and the BGCS Strategic Plan. Establishes objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
- Oversees the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals, effectively communicate goals of the program.
- Ensures that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s) and assist them in fulfilling and making appropriate choices.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
Strategic Planning
- Plan, develop, implement overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet member needs and interests and address their gender and cultural diversity.
Resource Development
- Contribute to attaining financial support by also going with club management to solicit corporations and civic groups for donations and other support and planning and implement program fundraising events.
Resource Management
- Manage Clubs financial resources and assist in the development its annual budgets. Control expenditures against budget.
- Ensure systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups. Ensure compliance with organization policies. Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
- Maintain average daily attendance and organized attendance records.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings.
Marketing and Public Relations
- Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers and media releases.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
§ Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
§ Oversee special programs and/or events (i.e. Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and/or participate in the implementation of other activities as necessary.
§ Other duties as directed by the Area Director.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with assigned Directors (professional and volunteer), Club
members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.
External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE Preferred:
- Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
- TB, CPR and First Aid Certifications.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Active work; standing, stooping, bending to interact with children at play. Occasionally exerts up to 20 lbs. of force.
WORKING CONDITIONS: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
SALARY: $18.00-19.50 per hour; 30 hours per week
JOB LOCATION: Exeter Boys & Girls Club

HOURS: Approximately 11:00am - 6:00 pm; some morning meetings; some weekends
