Location: 670 Marion-Williamsport Rd E. Marion, OH 43302
Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with some overtime possibilities

Job responsibilities:
Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) directives.
Essential functions:
1. Type correspondence, reports and letters.
2. Proofread material to verify accuracy.
3. Maintain records and files.
4. Maintain appropriate office supplies for the department.
5. Operate office equipment, including computers.
6. Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone and convey messages.
7. Operate telephone communications and mail handling as assigned.
8. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
9. Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) year clerical or related experience including word processing and computer data entry preferred.
- A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
