Job Title: Insurance Underwriter

Experience Requirements:
- 5 Years of Life Underwriting experience, including at least 2 years as a Sr. Life Underwriter (or comparable experience)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, classify, and underwrite individual applications and benefits within approval limits, up to $2,500.00.
- Proactively increase agent knowledge of individual insurance concepts, especially with their high net worth clientele.
- Consult with the field (Agent/DM, etc.) regarding current or potential life insurance applications to review underwriting requirements, guidelines, and practices.
- Underwrites the most complex financial, medical, and non-medical policies and researches issues as needed.
- Inform the chief underwriter or underwriting management of any unusual or unexpected trends found during daily underwriting.
- Consult UW Specialist II or Chief UW Officer as needed on unique or complex issues.
