- Performs underwriting tasks as determined by the supervising underwriter, including new business screening, renewal, and endorsement underwriting, referring exceptions to the supervising underwriter.
- Refer business beyond delegated authority to supervising underwriter.
- Communicates by phone, letter, and personal visits to producing agencies and clients.
- Works with agents in processing and prioritizing business.
- Rate new renewal applications and required.
- Prepare endorsements.
- Perform other duties as requested by Branch Leadership.
- Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCITONS:
- High school diploma or GED required. Some college education preferred. Equivalent education, experience, and skills may also qualify.
- Computer literate
- One year of prior insurance company experience preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible and able to handle multi-task assignments.
- Able to comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Detail oriented.
- ISO/NCCI knowledge – rating experience and coverage knowledge.
- Sit, stand, walk/ambulatory
- Ability to life 10 pounds.
