Summary
Under the direction of the Assembly Test Supervisor, this position performs comprehensive inspection to Control Panel and Pumping Stations to ensure compliance with UL requirements. Provide full inspection of Electro/Mechanical components manufactured by our client's to ensure quality and performance before shipment to customer. This process includes UL certification, preparing the station and final inspection prior to shipping, addressing any deficiencies, and repairing or requesting help to correct any issues. This position will communicate back to the appropriate supervisors and assemblers with any issues that were encountered during inspection and what was required to correct them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interface with our clients, UL Engineering Specialist.
- Review and implement ongoing UL notifications/postings.
- Accurately review, record, and file all data pertaining to specific projects.
- Comply with the company’s safety policy e.g., wearing safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, etc.
- General housekeeping periodically to keep the UL inspection desk and work area clean and presentable for visitor tours and general overall safety at all times.
- When necessary, help train other employees to perform the UL inspections and final assembly.
- Assure all documentation of the UL inspection, including required approvals are appropriately filed in the respective job folders.
- Any problems found during inspection will be communicated properly back to the supervisor or engineering.
- Obtain and record VFD registration information and properly file.
- Assure the station and components are according to the customer’s order; resolve any problems with engineering before shipment.
- Help other departments when workload permits and is requested by Supervisor.
- Immediately bring up equipment and safety problems to supervisor to be resolved.
- Work cooperatively with peers and management to get the job done within customers’ expectations, working overtime is therefore a requirement if needed.

- Mid-level computer skills required.
- Mechanical assembly skills
- Knowledge of control panel wiring and electrical components
- Good verbal and writing skills required.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
- Complete all work or job-related documents and measurements.
- Provide input on products and process improvements, as well as corrections to drawings, specifications, or bill of materials.
- Work cooperatively with peers and leaders.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area.
- Forklift and Crane operational skills that are certifiable.
- Able to work with small components neatly, accurately.
- Able to work skillfully with power tools, electrical circuitry adeptness, etc.
