Ui/Ux Designer

540 is looking for a UI/UX Designer to help the DoD build new proof of concept capabilities for a new and exciting Air Force integration platform powered by Apigee and Google Cloud.

Location: Remote within the continental United States. East Coast working hours with some flexibility afforded
Citizenship & Clearance Requirement: per client requirements, must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Computer Science or related field (preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of related UI/UX experience
• Deep understanding of User-Centered Design
• A portfolio that shows your process and deliverables for a variety of digital experiences
• Experience producing user flows, journey maps, wireframes and mockups
• Working understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience interviewing key stakeholders
• Experience working with users to understand critical functional needs
• Ability to translate complex functional tasks into visuals that are easy to understand
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience using Angular Material, strongly preferred
• Experience working with developers to validate that features have been built correctly
• Understanding of modern agile software development practices
• Understanding of content strategy methods and best practices
• Experience working on US Federal Government projects, specifically with the Department of Defense
