Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Tier 3 Mechanic)

This position is for a mechanic skilled in the repair of Heavy Equipment and diesel engines. We are well established company that has been operating in West Texas for many years. We are looking for a high quality individual to join our team. This job is based out of the shop but there will be multiple days when work in the field will be required.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, diagnosis of diesel engines and related systems, and familiar with the safe and efficient work practices around Heavy Equipment. Knowledge of welding and fabrication is a plus but not a requirement.

This position requires work in varying temperatures and weather conditions. This individual must be able to work efficiently on their own without constant direction from a supervisor. The mechanic will be required to fill out daily reports detailing job tasks, materials used, and other necessary information. You must be able to lift 75lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work in remote locations- sometimes without the ability to communicate with other people. You will be required to furnish your own tools. Our company provides any specialized tools needed and offers limited reimbursement for employee's tools. Company transportation is provided for work outside of our home location.

Starting pay is based on experience and prior work history, there are opportunities for advancement within the company.

Candidate must live within 60 minutes of Odessa, TX or be willing to relocate to within this area. Must have valid drivers license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
