Our growing dental practice needs an experienced & energetic Receptionist who can take over the duties involved with coordinating patient care, treatment plan coordinator, billing & insurance verification as well as file management and office organization. We’re looking for a professional who puts the patient first. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down and provide personalized service. There are opportunities for the successful applicant. The Dental Receptionist will need to meet the following credentials:
Excellent Customer Service
Must be professional and reliable
Must know how to verify insurances and do billing
Must know how to enter and present treatment plans when needed
Must know how to work with Dentrix
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a multi-tasker
Must be a quick learner who can work independently and be a part of the team
Check in experience required
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
Basic job description but are not limited to the following:
Greeting patients
Obtaining current insurance and identification
Collecting copays and past due balance
Obtain completed paperwork
Chart preparation and scanning old records
Upload imaging/docs onto Dentrix
Confirming referrals prior to appts
Scheduling patients
Send rx to pharmacy
Request clearance for procedures
Answer incoming calls and route appropriately
Register and schedule new patients
Fill out appropriate forms based on appointment type and send to the appropriate team member.
