CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS:
Under general supervision, is responsible for the daily reconciliation of operating disbursement accounts, performs cash management duties and determines interfund balances. Performs related duties as required

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Prints daily bank reports and determines funding requirements for operating, capital and debt service accounts. Prepares daily wire transfers related to Park District expenses. Prepares monthly balance and earnings reports for all Park District bank accounts, money markets, debt service bonds. Performs regular posting and review of revenue and expenditure accounts in the general ledger. Prepares bank fee and account analysis monthly. Prepares weekly Due To/From Schedule. Performs other special projects related to cash management, investment activities and internal/external audit requests..

DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field supplemented by a at least two years of experience performing financial duties; or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of finance, investments and the disbursement of revenue. Knowledge of a computerized financial system, word processing, graphics and spreadsheet applications. Financial analysis skills. Understanding of short-term, fixed income investment vehicles. Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Problem solving skills. Ability to work with all levels of Chicago Park District management.
