Location: Various Locations

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 DOE + $18,250 in untaxed per diem, gas card, and company truck

Job Description:

Our client is a Top 25 roofing contractor and has been in business for almost 40 years and services the commercial and industrial markets. Due to massive growth, their New Construction division is looking for a Traveling Safety Officer to join their fastest growing division. You will play a critical role in advising staff on company safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative safety measures on our job sites. Your expertise will help promote a culture of workplace safety compliance, providing training and support within the organization. This position requires a willingness to travel extensively to different job sites for weeks at a time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
• 4+ years of experience in commercial roofing or construction, preferably two years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA 30 (required).
• Professional certification in safety (e.g., STST) is preferred.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and drive a culture of safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to climb a 40-foot ladder and lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
