Systems Management NW, LLC specializes exclusively in maintenance, installation and repair of Roberts Gordon CoRayVac and Vantage Radiant Heating Systems in commercial spaces. We take pride in the level of work that is preformed and strive to earn the complete trust of all or our customers. We are looking for a driven individual with a "can do " attitude and attention to detail to join our team. We are a small company with big customers and big projects. We are looking for a long-term team member who wants to expand their knowledge & experience while growing within SMNW.

Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment background check. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Travel and overnight stays in OR & WA is a requirement for this position. There are no out of pocket travel expenses. Food, lodging, vehicle and fuel are provided. Travel is approximately 50% of the job from a single overnight stay to several days for lengthier jobs. Some WA State federal and state funded projects will be eligible for prevailing wage.

Pay is based on level of experience with opportunities for pay increases.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Minimum HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Good driving record & clean background check.
  • Construction, HVAC or equivalent background - Minimum 5 years
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as lead, supervisor and/or Project Manager.
  • Willingness to listen, take or read instructions and communicate the job plan.
  • Must have mechanical ability and willingness to learn/expand their knowledge.
  • Good analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • A dedication to getting the job done right the first time.
  • Pride in their work.
  • Awareness of their surroundings & safety protocols.
  • Maintain, clean & organize workspaces including company vehicle, warehouse & worksites.
  • Physical ability of performing duties that include standing for long periods, walking, climbing ladders and being on elevated work platforms.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Job Duties:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, repair and/or installation of new equipment in commercial buildings.
  • Ability to plan & designate project resources, parts, tools and man hours for upcoming jobs.
  • Schedule and call-off necessary lift equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting & diagnostics to identify issues, implement solutions and articulate the same to customers.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organize workspaces including company vehicle, warehouse and worksites.
  • 50% Travel with overnight stays for out-of-town projects. MUST be able & willing to travel and spend 1-5 days, in some weeks, away from home.
  • Required to have or be willing to get the following certifications (employer will pay): Mobile Elevated Work Platform Operations Certification and CPR Certification.
  • Follow schematics, diagrams and manuals to ensure proper repair procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities and parts inventory.
  • Engage with customers and explain any repair needs that have been identified.
  • Coordinate and communicate with suppliers, customers, team members and office staff.
  • Utilize forklifts, mobile elevated work platforms to access raised systems and various tooling equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous lead/supervisory and/or Project Management experience in HVAC, Contracting, Plumbing, Electrical or other related fields - Mandatory
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management - Preferred
  • Familiarity with HVAC electrical wiring diagrams, light electrical work - Mandatory
  • Ability to handle physical workload - Mandatory
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms - Mandatory
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills - Mandatory
  • Experience with black pipe - Mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail - Mandatory
  • Strong work ethic - Mandatory
