Job Description:
- Responsible for checking patients in and out
- Collect and update current demographic and insurance information
- Perform injections
- Perform phlebotomy functions as required
- Rooming patients
- Taking vitals and updating patient information into EPIC system
- Assisting with in office procedures
- Will float throughout offices within facility
- Maintain electronic medical records
- Perform related job duties as required to support the medical office
Requirements
- 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant
- Previous EMR experience is a plus
- Must be flexible with schedule may have to stay after 5pm depending on patient load
- Must be Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
- BLS (AHA)
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a high volume environment
- A High School Diploma or GED
