As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and gain valuable experience in a medical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling insurance forms
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient information
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Assist with X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Provide support to patients by answering questions, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Be able to perform Outpatient Services including: TRT, HRT and IV Mobile Drip Services which will be paid at time and a half and gas included.
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Ability to provide excellent patient service with empathy, compassion, and professionalism
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Experience in providing medical administrative support such as scheduling appointments and handling medical records
- Familiarity with hospital or clinical settings and understanding of healthcare protocols
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimens safely
- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and equipment operation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is desirable but not required
