Job Details:

We are seeking a licensed and dedicated School Counselor to join our team in Crystal Lake, Illinois. This full-time position involves working with students in grades 5-8, providing support to a caseload of approximately 40 students, some of whom have informal support needs without specific IEP minutes. The role includes responsibilities related to meeting minutes on IEPs and special education paperwork, as well as meeting with general education students. Please note that the chool has a separate and additional counselor responsible for the social-emotional program.

• General and special education.

Client Non-negotiables:

• IL License.
• PEL (Professional Educator License) in School Counseling.

Job Description:

As a School Counselorin Crystal Lake, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students in grades 5-8. You will work with a diverse caseload, addressing the unique needs of both general and special education students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling services and support to students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with the IEP team to develop and document meeting minutes.
• Offer guidance to general education students on academic and personal matters.
• Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• IL License.
• PEL (Professional Educator License) in School Counseling.
• Experience working with students in grades 5-8 is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to the well-being and development of students.
