Job description

M&IW is looking an experienced and creative incentive travel professional with a passion for the incentive industry. The Destination & Experience Design Consultant is responsible for conceptualizing and designing incentive travel programs that will provide meaningful experiences that inspire and motivate our client’s top performers, customers, or valued employees. This position includes creative concepting, proposal design and development, site sourcing, client presentations, vendor contract negotiation, and transitioning programs to operations team to provide optimal services to the client and maximum revenues to M&IW. This position also assists with building client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, and continuous process improvement.

What you will do here:

Incentive Travel Program Design, Sourcing and Proposal Development

  • Partner with the client and team members to analyze program needs and provide consultative program strategies
  • Conceptualize and design engaging and immersive Incentive travel programs
  • Manage the RFP and proposal life cycle from creative conceptualization and written development through client agreements
  • Develop and design proposals, write creative content to tell the story of the attendee experience for destinations proposed
  • Research trends, destinations, hotels/resorts/cruises, venues, DMC’s, entertainment, themes, activities, program gifts and program enhancements
  • Site selection, sourcing; negotiating all aspects of program pricing, contracts and addendums while maintaining the highest level of quality, professionalism and integrity when negotiating with suppliers
  • Create detailed program budgets
  • Provide consultative dialogue and destination knowledge assistance to internal teams to aid in the closing of sales
  • Effectively communicate between account teams, clients and internal departments
  • Prepare and execute client agreements, if required.
  • Track, report, and audit cost savings and contract work within audit requirements
  • Complete turnover deliverables and work closely with operations team to ensure definite programs are transitioned upon signature of client agreement
  • Coordinate client destination and hotel site inspections, attend as requested
  • Build proactive relationships with incentive client program owners and apply/adapt M&IW services accordingly
  • Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships
  • Professionally participate in applicable company and industry activities, events and potential speaking engagements
  • Actively participate in remote based team meetings, trainings, team building
  • Ability to work extended hours when working on short timelines
  • Must be flexible to meet client needs, time zone differences and workload

What you will bring:

  • 7-10+ years in the incentive travel industry/incentive program Experience Design/international and domestic incentive travel purchasing and proposal development
  • College degree or equivalent experience (Hospitality or Business degree preferred)
  • Ability to travel as requested for site inspections and industry events including internationally (15%)
  • Ability to work remotely and report to remote Manager / Director.
