Job Summary:
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for the accurate collection, validation, interpretation of data related to trauma patients who meet the American College of Surgeons and the State of Colorado inclusion criteria. Ensures accuracy and confidentiality in the handling of all trauma data. Assists in the performance improvement initiatives for Trauma Service.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Minimum Experience Requirements
Healthcare experience or previous coding experience, preferred
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience in the use of information technology including Microsoft Office software, Excel and PowerPoint
Education required:
HS/GED required
Associate Degree preferred
Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) preferred
AIS -Completion of Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course from the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine is required upon hire or within 12 months of hire/transfer
Completion of the American Trauma Society Registrar Course upon hire or within 12 months of hire/transfer
Physical Requirements- Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to
10lbs force occasionally)
Candidate must live in Colorado.

Pay Range:
$24.03 - $39.59 / hour
