Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. Monterey Park Hospital is recruiting for a Transporter for Surgery Services/OR Department.
Responsibilities:The Transporter will transport patients to any of the surgical services units from various hospital areas and will accompany the Recovery Room nurses during transport of patients to various hospital areas and provide assistance to the ICU unit with safely moving patients when needed. He/she will also be part of the hospital lift team. He/she will be responsible for transporting and clean dirty equipment from the nursing units to central processing as well as for the maintenance of the Hepa Filters hospital wide.
Qualifications:Minimum one-year's acute care hospital experience preferred. BLS required.
