Boundary Stone Partners (BSP) is seeking a highly motivated Transportation Policy Intern to join our fast-growing team of transportation, climate, clean energy, and space experts in Washington, D.C. for the
Spring (January 15- April 30). The internship is a hybrid position that will be required to spend some time in the Washington, DC office. Depending on class schedule, if applicable, it is preferred that the intern be able to work between 20-30 hours a week. Compensation will be $20/hour, along with transit benefits.

What you can expect to learn
The Transportation Policy Intern will support BSP's team in research, client support, and government affairs engagement with leading companies, non-profits, trade associations, and financial institutions in the transportation industry. You can expect to learn:
- The ability to research policy issues and how to prepare briefings and/or develop recommended policy positions on issues like electric vehicle (EV) charging and manufacturing, transportation technology, freight, the trucking industry, innovative mobility, and more.
- How to manage a research/policy development project. Over the course of the internship you will develop and then present a policy research project to the Transportation Practice Group and relevant clients.
- How to track and develop briefings on regulatory activities and announcements at the White House, Department of Transportation, Department of Energy and other relevant agencies.
- How to track and report on legislative activities including committee hearings, introduction of legislation, and House and Senate votes.
- How to draft policy memos, correspondence, and other materials.
- How to interact with outside stakeholders in client, congressional, and administration meetings.
About You
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate degree program in public policy or a related field
- Prefered ability to work between 20-30 hours per week, but willing to be flexible based on schedule
- Passionate about driving our carbon-free future and Transportation Policy
- Exceptional research and writing skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Resourceful and entrepreneurial, roll-up your sleeves, and not afraid to think outside the box
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
- Want to work with a team who values collegiality and a sense of humor
