TRANSPORTATION CONCIERGE
The Conkling Center Inc is a not-for-profit operating foundation whose Mission is to enhance the quality of life of seniors in the community directly and indirectly, by providing services, programs, and opportunities to meet their ever-changing needs. The Transportation Concierge functions as a representative of the foundation and is responsible for assisting in the promotion and achievement of this mission.
Qualifications for the Transportation Concierge/Substitute
Must have a strong interest in working and communicating with the Seniors. Be organized, flexible, task oriented and a problem solver. The Transportation Concierge must be self-confident and a strong work ethic to work independently while transporting seniors throughout the community.

· Pass random Drug/Alcohol testing as required
· New York State License and Driving Record in Good Standing
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Transport seniors 55+ to medical appointments, treatment facilities, pharmacies, grocery stores, banks, social events and other locations as scheduled.
· Assist seniors door-to-door with packages, wheelchairs, etc.
· Assist seniors with loading and unloading wheelchairs.
· Assure the proper and secure positioning of wheelchairs.
· Observe safety measures when assisting seniors in and out of the vehicle.
· Complete all required daily documents.
· Inspect the vehicle daily and complete form prior to starting day.
· Notify Transportation Coordinator of vehicle maintenance as needed, including gas, oil changes, tire rotation and routine maintenance.
· Report vehicle maintenance needs to the Transportation Coordinator.
· Assure all seniors are wearing seat belts at all times.
· Keeps vehicle safe and clean, and free of clutter.
· Drive responsibly and cautiously.
· Dress per required dress code.
· Attend trainings for Defensive Driving, First Aid and CPR, etc.
· Address all other required and appropriate transportation related items.
· Report all concerns, suggestions, recommendations to the Transportation Coordinator.
· Work cooperatively with the Executive Director and fellow employees to assure smooth operation of the transportation program/service.
· Follow Personnel Policies.
· All other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director and/or the Transportation Coordinator.
The Transportation Concierge/Substitute reports directly to the Executive Director of The Conkling Center Inc.

It could be expected that as the Transportation Program evolves, so will the job of the Transportation Concierge.

Expected hours: 7.5 – 15 per week
