What you will do:

  • Support the generation interconnection process of utility-scale solar, BESS, and wind projects, including application preparation and submission, interconnection study and review, LGIA negotiation and execution, LGIA risk identification and mitigation, etc.
  • Perform power flow analysis and injection studies.
  • Support SCED study and market analysis
  • Support greenfield, transmission prospecting, queue analysis.
  • Support external departments, including Development, Origination, Engineering, Finance, etc.
  • Participate in RTO/ISO interconnection and planning stakeholder processes.
  • Manage external consultants on interconnection activities.
  • Represent EDPR’s interests in regional meetings.
  • Additional duties as required.

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
  • 1 - 2 years in the utility industry; generation interconnection experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of FERC, OATT, OTD, RTOP, and NERC policies
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Thorough knowledge of PSSE and Power Flow software
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project preferred
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise. Preferred
