In the Transactions Specialist role, you will be responsible for the balancing of all activity for a set portfolio of accounts and its completion with 100% accuracy. Must meet the daily required SLA and target productivity. A quick learner and understand the flow of transaction processing in disbursement operations.
- Process, confirm and/or correct all check payment exceptions against on-file data in reconciliation system
- Balance, correct and maintain client list of outstanding checks
- Prepare monthly and custom financial reports for client reconciliation transactions
- Able to perform cross processing within multiple applications
- Must be able to handle high volume of transactions and meet the daily SLA
- Ability to follow outlined processes and procedures accurately
- Ability to utilize data entry skills in various types of situations presented on a screen, including keying from machine written information, handwritten information
- Ability to compare and verify data capture and data represented on screen
- Ability to determine customer payment intentions when faced with varying information
- Flexibility to work overtime during month end weekly activities
- Attend staff meetings to remain current on site quality errors, initiatives, and process changes.
- Ability to respond timely and effectively to internal business partner inquiries
- Minimum one-year practical experience working in an operations environment
- Background in bank reconciliation is advantage
- Understand the nature of check payments
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Strong sense of ownership in your personal and team deliverables
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with completed work
- A drive for excellence and the ability to multi-task to meet delivery timeframes
Training Work schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Normal Work schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
