Software Configuration Specialist - DFW Area

Job Summary

The Software Configuration Specialist will design and implement automated build processes to improve the quality of the deliverable. This is a hybrid role in the DFW area.

Essential Functions (fundamental, crucial job duties performed in a position. include how the person is to perform them including frequency of tasks)

• Work closely with development teams to determine build requirements, fulfill build requirements, and provide timely resolution of build problems
• Assist in defining and implementing Software Configuration standard procedures, and tools
• Manage Continuous Integration process and systems from development through test, QA, and production
• Work closely with development and product teams to onboard new projects into the CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to build and maintain tools for deployment and monitoring
• Create and implement branch and merge strategies
• Continually analyze and improve the tools supporting the CI/CD pipeline
• Support development team for deployment of hotfixes and new features in our platform
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance for assigned shift

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within Configuration Management team and within cross-functional teams
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or related field
• Strong understanding of Oracle database administration, programming and scripting required
• 2+ years' experience in Software Configuration required

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in using version control tools, build tools, and scripting languages such as ClearCase, CVS, ANT, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins and Perl will be helpful
• Prior experience leading teams, and/or cross-functional teams strongly preferred
