This position is remote and the candidate can sit anywhere in the United States. When our new headquarters reopens on Long Island, employees within commuting distance will have the opportunity to schedule workdays in the office.
We are looking for Trainers who are driven to help external clients and internal employees develop their knowledge and skills of Sandata's product suite. The desired candidate conducts trainings in a way that shares expertise while motivating others and supports Sandata's competitive advantage by developing the skills of the training participants.
The trainer will be responsible for evaluating our needs and current practices on an ongoing basis, including creating and submitting proposals and plans for improvement to the Training department management. The best candidate will be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up-to-date on the latest best practices for improving training and adult education.
A corporate trainer is an experienced educator. Your abilities to convey a message should only be surpassed by a deep knowledge of your field. Organizational skills and a positive attitude are important qualities that you must possess.
This Training Specialist role will primarily be responsible for delivering webinar training and may travel onsite to client locations to conduct in-person sessions as supported by state and federal guidelines.
What you will do:
- Promote positive and safe training environments during training sessions.
- Maintain current thorough knowledge of Sandata's software products.
- Conduct group and/or one-on-one training sessions for external customers and internal employees.
- Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
- Design and implement effective training programs to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Review and update training materials and presentations as needed.
- Document training performed and any issues or concerns that may arise during training.
- Resolve issues on site or create tickets and follow through.
- Review and update training materials and presentations as needed to keep content current with application changes.
- Conduct on-going evaluations and analysis of training programs to identify areas of improvement.
- Proactively offer suggestions and proposals for training program improvement.
- Monitor attendee performance and response to training.
- Ensure security of personal health information (PHI) and report any violations or observations to management.
What you bring:
- Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset.
- Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Proven experience as an educator/trainer.
- Must be a self-starter and a team player.
- Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
- Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in education/adult learning.
- BA in education or similar relevant fields is an asset.
- Experience using web conferencing software (preferably Zoom).
- 4-7 years of experience successfully training on software products, preferably in the home care or healthcare industry.
- Position is work-from-home although travel for on-site training sessions may become necessary and involve overnight stays.
