What you should know about the Training Specialist role...
A Training Specialist is responsible for the facilitation of a variety of training courses for Flagstar Bank employees and its affiliates. The Training Specialist is also responsible for developing training materials. This position will also require meetings with other departments to determine training needs and develop solutions as well as support new hires through coaching and refresher training. The Training Specialist will also consult on complex account opening processes.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Facilitates a variety of training courses for Flagstar Bank employees and its affiliates.
- Creates and delivers training through different settings that include on-the-job, classroom, and webinars.
- Conducts four-week training programs for newly hired employees in the Private Client Groups (PCGs).
- Conducts Teller training and operations training for newly hired employees of Financial Centers.
- Develops materials for training programs and reviews/evaluates/modifies existing programs and job aids.
- Acts as a coach for new and existing employees providing feedback and suggestions on improving performance.
- Trains and supports the roll-out of new systems and products to different areas of the bank.
- Assists other areas of the bank with development of training materials.
- Manages the schedule of new hire training to ensure product information, policies, procedures and compliance related topics are reviewed and recognized by new hires.
- Researches various training methods and determines the best options.
- High School Diploma/GED (required)
- Minimum three years training experience in financial services or equivalent experience in banking & training (required)
- Detailed knowledge of bank products, financial services and policies and procedures, including compliance
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of organization
- Ability to work well independently with limited supervision
- Ability to travel to locations throughout the bank's footprint
- Demonstrate to be proactive and motivated
- Training Certificate (preferred)
Compensation:Flagstar Bank, N.A. offers a base salary in this position with an hourly range of $27.40 - $39.23, dependent on qualifications and experience.
