Job Description
Accountabilities:
- Works with Director of Training to plan training and educational programs, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives, accreditation, and core values.
- Communicates training and educational course ideas, based on feedback and observation, to the Director of Training and subsequently supports Director of Training with development of identified offerings.
- Works with the Director of Training to maintain a training calendar that meets the onboarding and training needs of the Wyandot BHN staff.
- Supports Director of Training with development of training curriculum by helping to determine modalities, producing content, designing exercises, as requested.
- Updates and maintains the Training Page on the WBHN intranet (The Dot) ensuring that it contains the most current information.
- Delivers Organization defined ‘standard’ programs that are consistent with Medicaid, other regulatory standards, and accrediting bodies.
- Assist in managing all Onboarding of WBHN staff by ensuring that all sessions have necessary paperwork/handouts, sign-in sheets, etc.
- In collaboration with Human Resources Coordinator, establishes schedule for New Employee Orientation 1 and 2 (NEO 1 and NEO 2), and schedules and notifies all presenters of their presentation time via Outlook invite.
- Coordinates and delivers identified training sessions (presenting according to prescribed schedule, providing direction/oversight in the handling of logistics [room reservation, refreshments, audio/video, etc.] facilitating/conducting sessions, instructing participants, etc.).
- Works with the Training Coordinator in the administration of departmental operations.
- Ensures the Training Coordinator has all necessary information to maintain training records in identified Learning Management System (LMS)
- Acts as a back-up to the Training Coordinator in managing and entering data into LMS.
- Maintains back-up training records as requested by Director of Training, including updating spreadsheets, completing data entry, and filing of sign-in sheets
- Ensures continuous quality improvement for the workshops/session delivered.
- Maintains feedback processes (designing evaluation tools, exploring options, modifying techniques/strategies, etc.).
- With Director of Training, measures training effectiveness (administering session evaluations, soliciting input from managers, evaluating impact, modifying/improving workshops, etc.).
- Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed/assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted
Experience: Two years’ experience in behavioral health or related field required, with experience designing, developing and/or delivering training. One year experience presenting to groups of 10 or more or demonstrated comfort and aptitude of speaking in front of groups.
Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication (oral/written) and organizational skills. Outstanding writing skills required. Outstanding presentation skills essential, including the ability to institute a comfortable learning environment, acknowledge the varied levels of understanding among participants, and the ability to respond appropriately. Demonstrated success in engaging participants. Must have excellent interpersonal relations skills, able to establish and maintain a positive, nurturing/encouraging rapport with all constituents. Ability to effectively interact with constituents at all levels [internally/externally]. Adept at learning new approaches to adult learning and adapting to change. Maturity, judgment, wisdom, and tact are essential in effectively handling projects and interacting appropriately with people. Computer proficiency, including solid knowledge and application of the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Knowledge of LMS and eLearning authoring software desired.
