Reports To: Training Specialist Supervisor
Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000
Position Overview
STAR Autism Support is looking for training professionals to deliver side by side coaching and consultation to educators and staff serving students Pre-K through secondary on how to implement SAS curriculum tools in the classroom. Building upon your existing experience using the SAS curriculum, you will be provided with extensive training to promote increased capacity for yourself and our customers through enhanced coaching skills and eventually workshop presentation skills. STAR customers are located around the United States and internationally, therefore our ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to travel (by air and car) on average of two weeks per month. You are someone who thrives on rolling up your sleeves and helping teachers, students, and colleagues to use evidence-based practices. And, most importantly, you share in our passion for supporting the learning and curricula for students with autism.
The exact title and compensation offered will depend on candidate experience, skillset, and overall qualifications.
The Position: What you’ll do
- Provide training and consultation to school districts and agencies in implementing curricula for students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
- Provide educators with in-class coaching using best practices for adult learning.
- Collaborate with SAS account specialists and district administration to build the capacity of district programs to provide evidence-based practices.
- Complete consult notes and gather classroom performance data to support requirements of customer programs and grants.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to organize your travel schedule and customer visits in a way that best supports the needs of STAR customers; often requiring flexibility.
- Collaborate with the sales team to share customer dynamics, priorities, and progress so they may offer the most appropriate solutions based on individualized needs and goals.
- Keep current on research-based knowledge of ASD and effective instructional strategies.
- Provide personal and customer feedback to our product team to promote ongoing improvements of our curricular tools.
- Support Lead Training Specialists with in-person and virtual workshops, consultations, and presentations on SAS curricula (STAR, Links, SOLS, SOLER, etc.) and strategies for educators, caregivers, and staff using SAS professional development tools.
- Support other projects and duties as assigned.
