Training & Outreach Coordinator II, Teen Line (Olympic Suicide Prevention Center)
This position is Partially Remote. The pay range for this position is between $62,221 - $69,135 annually.

Summary
This full-time position is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and managing the program's volunteer training related activities, as well as community outreach activities and events.
Primary Duties
  • Manage the full cycle volunteer recruitment process which includes advertising program, sending and reviewing volunteer applications, conducting interviews, maintaining volunteer files, and notification of selection or elimination from program.
  • Conduct Teen Line volunteer trainings throughout the year.
  • Coordinate all facets of the Teen Line volunteer program which includes finding and scheduling speakers, serving as a trainer to volunteers, and any other related training coordination tasks.
  • Maintain and update (as needed) the course content including manuals, handouts, and experiential learning activities.
  • Facilitate the evaluation process of the trainees, participants and speakers and identify opportunities for change or improvements based on feedback.
  • Provide technical and emotional support to volunteers and parents (when appropriate).
  • Maintain training related paperwork, training statistics and training related follow-up.
  • Maintain current suicide prevention knowledge and best practices through literature review and attendance of workshops and seminars.
  • Participate in volunteer retention data collection and retention effort.
  • Supervise teen groups.
  • Oversee scheduling, attendance, role play progress and health clearance completion.
  • Conduct outreach presentations to school and other youth organizations.
  • Coordinate volunteers for speaking engagements or health/info tables.

Supervisory Responsibility
  • The employee in this position supervises volunteer Teen Line teens.

Position Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling or psychology strongly recommended. Will consider bachelors level with crisis line experience.
  • Working knowledge of mental health services and suicide prevention services.
  • Working knowledge of Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, DMH, Department of Social Services, and other state, federal regulations related to outpatient and crisis line services.
  • Experience with teens in a professional environment required.
  • Crisis line or hotline experience preferred.
  • Previous experience facilitating trainings preferred.
  • Advanced skills to present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Superior organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Telephone and personal computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and other related software.
  • Ability to use analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective decisions.
