Job description

Overview:

Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Training Managerto support the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in developing and delivering training. They will be responsible for developing and conducting web-based and in-person training with stakeholders and project teams to enhance customer experience. Ensure the maintenance of reference materials such as: video library, web-based training, knowledge articles, other training visual aids, kits, and manuals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and provide Web-Based (virtual) and classroom (in-person) training, Lunch and Learn sessions, webinars or other varied training delivery methods to cater to diverse learning preferences.
  • Work with Communications staff to provide training guides and other communication training material.
  • Work with the Project Manager, stakeholders and contract leaders to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to identify specific training needs and develop tailored training programs.
  • Prepare training schedules for approval.
  • Plan and schedule work to meet program goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and determine training opportunities using data sources and customer feedback.
  • Independently performs development and revision of training materials to align specific methodologies and project requirements, emphasizing interactive and hands-on-learning
  • Change, adjust, or supplement instructional materials to incorporate upgrades and latest updates to virtual technology tools and information covering methods, techniques, procedures, equipment, etc.
  • Analyze course content, evaluates outcomes of training programs and functions to measure the effectiveness of program efforts and, as necessary, coordinates stakeholders and makes modifications to program methods and approaches.
  • Develop periodic reports evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and recommending improvements with insights tailored to continuous improvement in IT training delivery.
  • Maintain a highly competent knowledge of instruction techniques.
  • Deliver training content to stakeholders to support professional development.
  • Assist with correcting deficiencies found in training development or delivery through participant feedback.
  • Develop course outlines drafts. Outlines will include target audience, goals, objectives, and the basic structure of the eLearning course.
  • Develop and deliver IT training job aids, self-study guides, and other just-in-time training resources that directly contribute to improving the overall customer experience and knowledge base.
  • Integrate Section 508 accessibility standards into print materials to allow members of the public with disabilities to access information that is comparable to information provided to persons without disabilities.
  • Create a final version of each education and training resource that meets best practice standards, Section 508 compliance, and clear communication.
  • Upload finalized, cleared training courses and supporting materials to approved repository.
  • Provide and maintain comprehensive documentation of training materials, methodologies, and guidance for future reference and continuous knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4-7 years of experience.
  • Must meet all standards as required by Performance Work Statement.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a public trust background investigation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Skilled in adult learning principles, learning methodologies, knowledge of eLearning content authoring tools and processes, and experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Skilled with Technology training principles, techniques and working in an Information Technology environment.
  • Strong project management, project coordination and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to recognize client needs.
  • Strong skills in visual presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Capable of taking direction and being adaptable to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Attention to details and deadlines ensuring effective task management.
