General Description
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for implementing, improving, and maintaining a training program. The incumbent will partner with human resources and functional leaders to develop, deliver, and monitor training for the Ohio campus locations. The audience for the training program includes hourly production personnel, salaried individual contributors, and managers. The scope of the training includes job-specific tasks in production, Environment Health and Safety, Quality, and Operational Finance. This individual communicates continually with personnel in the Operations, Technical, Engineering, Maintenance, and Finance. This position will require a close partnership with the location's Human Resources Partner to effectively deliver the training program objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design a comprehensive training program for all production facilities.
- Onboarding for all staff including but not limited to EHS, Quality, Site-specific policies and procedures, operations process and procedures.
- Other training programs as business needs dictate.
- Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety.
- Research new training supplies and materials that can enhance the training procedures while providing value to employees.
- Identifying future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training.
- Leading programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes, acquisitions, and mergers.
- Communicating with management, trainers, and team members to ensure that all needs are met.
- Resolving any specific problems and tailoring training programs as necessary.
- Required travel approximately 25-30% of the time
- All other duties as assigned.

- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of learning and development best practices.
- A proven record of training program development and management.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Resolving any specific problems and tailoring training programs as necessary.
Education and Training Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, technical or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
- Professional certification, such as CPTM is preferred.
