POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for delivering and facilitating the Guardian Fall Protection course curriculum. This includes classroom instruction, field instruction, virtual instruction and administering assessments in both written and lab environments. This position is also involved in the creation and managing updates to curriculum to ensure all materials are maintained to current standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the development of training programs and curriculum, including outline, text, handouts, tests and training facility exercises
• Lead classes through hands on application of the safety, installation, maintenance and repair of fall protection equipment for job-specific, company-specific, and general applicable standards and regulations.
• Follow outlines, handouts, and texts while using visual aids such as graphs, charts, videotapes, and slides to demonstrate the application and techniques of fall protection equipment
• Demonstrate procedures being taught and observe students in laboratory training facility while answering questions
• Administer written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate student’s performance
• Assist students in the selection and understanding of applicable regulations, and proper equipment/tools to assure regulation compliance and safe work procedures
• Frequently travel throughout North America to various industrial, construction, and hazardous locations to build relationships with distributors and end users to improve customer knowledge, satisfaction, and the company’s market share
• Maintain a safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations
• Ensure safe operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment/techniques
• Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facility and integrate information into training program
• Maintain continuous self-education to remain up to date on current and changing Federal, State, and other applicable regulations and standards
• Aid other departments, primarily Sales and Engineered Services, in the promotion of company products and solutions to advance customer knowledge and improve the company’s market share
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of product lines, customer segments and their needs, internal functional needs, and competitive products, prices, and policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of fall protection and rescue techniques preferred
• Presents and conducts self in a professional manner, in person, through email and by phone
• Must be punctual
• Ability to respond appropriately to constant change in priorities and services as dictated by management
• Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills
• Brings a positive “can do” attitude to work every day and demonstrated ability to get work accomplished
• Quick learner by picking up the Guardian systems, culture and processes without much detailed training
• Has a track record of building positive business relationships
• Enjoys high level of engagement and involvement with customers and employees
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Position requires standing for extended amounts of time
• Some lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, belaying, rescuing, and repelling throughout the shift while performing assigned curriculum
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• College degree preferred
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Able to travel nationally and potentially internationally to support the needs of the organization
• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in training, sales and direct customer relations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
