TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Classification: Nonexempt.
Salary/Range: $80,000 – $90,000
Reports to: Chief of Operations

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Grace Church is seeking an experienced Training and Development Coordinator to develop our discipleship and organizational training strategy. Oversee its implementation and assess its outcomes. This candidate will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build a healthy culture. The Training and Development Coordinator will work with various ministries/departments to train volunteers and staff employees in both their spiritual and professional goals in support of the overall vision, mission and core values of Grace Church. Training coordinator responsibilities include furthering discipleship, enhancing employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach, equip, and mobilize the Grace Church members and community members with discipleship training to help the congregation and community flourish, with a focus on discipleship, and life mastery training.
- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers.
- Develop an overall or tailored training and development plan that addresses the needs and expectations of ministries and staff.
- Deploy a wide variety of training methods.
- Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate training programs effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically and report on them.
- Collaborating with ministries and ministry leaders to develop and maintain professional development training.
- Manage training budget.
- Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
- Resolve any specific problems and adapt training programs as necessary.
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
- Train in the sensitive areas of security and abuse training
You have:
- Strong theological background
- Strong commitment to the vision and core values of Grace Church
- Strong understanding of God’s Word
- BS degree in education, human resources, communication, or relevant field
- Ability to manage others and develop leaders.
- Ability to lead, train, disciple, and counsel all ages.
- Proven work experience as a training manager
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
- Flexibility to adapt plans when needs arise.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
- Good computer and database skills
- Ability to work with confidential information in a trustworthy manner.
- Spiritual maturity and the Spiritual gift of administration, discernment, teaching, exhortation, and mercy
- Will work with disciple-making and church planting teams to assist churches in becoming dynamic and healthy.
- Coach and support team members, helping them grow in their giftings and service to the local church.
- Research and use available resources to help pastors and church leaders understand their demographics, sociological trends, needs and opportunities to engage and provide relevant ministries in their context.
- Provide metrics and reports as required by leadership.

Physical Demands
Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours, is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Tuesday through Friday, and Sunday services. Weekend availability is required as job duties demand.
Travel - This position requires minimal travel.
Minimal Required Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Communications.
Preferred Education and Experience – Master's Degree or 5-10 years of experience in related field.or
