Since 2007, ZemiTek has provided technical assistance, project management, information technology (IT), knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation, Training and learning development, and institutional support services.
Position Description
ZemiTek is seeking a Training and Design Consultant to play a pivotal role in shaping a transformational training program for USAID's New Partnerships Initiative (NPI). Your mission is to work closely with our subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop engaging content, interactive activities, and comprehensive materials for both in-person instructor-led Training and asynchronous learning. This is a short-term, impactful role that will shape the future of partnership practices at USAID.
Location: Remote
Position Type: Consultant
Level of Effort: Approximately 30 hrs per week, but may vary
Work Schedule: November 2023 and extends through ~February 2024
Salary Range: Starting at approximately $507/daily
Responsibilities
Objective: The New Partnerships Initiative (NPI) is at the forefront of redefining how USAID collaborates to achieve more sustained and locally led development and humanitarian outcomes. As part of our mission to diversify and enhance the quality of partnerships, we are launching a groundbreaking training program. This initiative is designed to equip individuals with the tools, knowledge, and mindset to drive change and innovation in the world of global development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with SMEs to design a dynamic curriculum.
• Craft innovative training delivery strategies.
• Apply adult learning techniques to engage and empower participants.
• Develop robust course evaluation mechanisms.
• Utilize your skills in PowerPoint and graphic design to create visually compelling materials.
• Facilitate and manage classroom activities effectively.
Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in a relevant field
At least six (6) years of experience with curriculum design and delivering training strategies.
Skills Needed: To thrive in this role, you will need a diverse set of skills and experiences:
• Strong grasp of adult learning principles.
• Ability to evaluate and improve training programs.
• Creativity in PowerPoint and graphic design.
• Exceptional classroom facilitation and management skills.
• Knowledge of localization practices.
• Prior experience in designing related curricula.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with SMEs and translate their expertise into tangible curriculum and materials.
• Familiarity with International Development is desired
