- Distribute information via e-mail to various groups received from conference calls throughout the shift
- Enter data into various spreadsheets
- Input outbound train consist data into the UP system
- Ensure correct van ramping of intermodal equipment to generate accurate paperwork for outbound trains
- Work within the Union Pacific computer system arriving inbound trains and placing on spot
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers and effectively handle conflict situations
- Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
- Compile reports, maintain records and perform tracing in response to customer inquiries and requests
- Work with interchanging intermodal cars and equipment to and from foreign railroads
- Proficient computer skills
- Proficient general office equipment skills
- Able to type 35 words per minute
