Tool and Die Maker - 1st Shift

Freeway Rockford is seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our team. Responsibilities will include the building of new progressive dies, compound dies, and all single hit dies, as well as special gages and machine components. Try-out, repair, sharpening, and troubleshooting experience is required. The ideal candidate will be diligent and flexible, with a high level of attention to detail.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Building of new progressive, compound, and single hit dies.
• Building of new special gages and machine components.
• Maintaining, sharpening, and repairing of all dies as needed.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
• Reworking and troubleshooting jobs on compound/progressive tooling.
• Able to provide own tools that are required for Tool and Die repair.
• Must be able to physically lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work Mon-Fri; 5:00am-3:30pm, Sat; 5:00am-10:00am (As Needed).
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• 5+ years previous experience with compound/progressive dies in stamping industry.
