Job Description
The Assistant Toddler Techer provides support to the Lead Teacher by helping to create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment where children are actively engaged. The teacher assistant is to promote an environment that supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development; to nurture positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. The teacher assistant must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Use understanding of child development as the foundation of work with young children.
· Effective pedagogical approaches include developmentally appropriate practices along with the use of research-based curriculum and PA early learning standards to create meaningful learning experiences for children.
· Create a safe and fun learning environment.
· Develop and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with families.
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children and families.
· Strong oral and written communication skills. Maintain complete and accurate records
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of a CDA or currently enrolled in an Associate’s Degree ECE program or related field with 15 credits in ECE OR have an Associate’s Degree in ECE or related field with 15 credit in ECE.
Must have a minimum of two years years of documented experience working with children.

Salary: $13.75 - $15.00 per hour
