Research title to properties and assist with all steps necessary to prepare title commitments and title insurance policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform title examination (builder lots in assigned Divisions).
- Update title commitments (abstract, examine, type and send out for assigned Divisions).
- Perform customer service work.
- Abstract, examine and type requests for chains of title – 2 years to 50 years or more.
- Operate SoftPro system from open order to typing the commitment.
- Utilize Title Data’s software from open order to locating property.
- Monitor projected files for closings and estimated release dates for construction loans and lot purchases.
- Back up to Open Order Desk.
- Periodically type commitments.
- Proof policies.
- Filing and manage file room.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Requires at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
