Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Title Analyst. As a Title Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis of property titles. You will play a crucial role in verifying the ownership history, identifying potential issues, and providing accurate and comprehensive title reports.

Responsibilities

Title Analyst plays a crucial role in real estate transactions by conducting title searches and ensuring that the property being acquired has a clear and marketable title. Candidate would conduct in-depth research on property titles, examining deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and other relevant documents to establish ownership history and identify any potential issues. They would evaluate the information gathered during title research to determine the status of title and assess the risk associated with the property. They may be asked to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the examination process. They must be able to prepare accurate and comprehensive title reports, summarizing findings and outlining any restrictions, encumbrances, or defects that may affect the property title.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a great attitude and an excellent communicator with an aptitude for title research and technology.

Job Skills:

  • Proficiency in examining and interpreting legal documents such as deeds, mortgages, easements, and surveys
  • Ability to identify and address any issues or defects in the title that may affect the property's marketability
  • Conduct thorough title searches to verify ownership, mortgages, liens, judgments, and any other encumbrances on the property
  • Strong research abilities to gather information from various sources and compile comprehensive reports on property titles
  • Thoroughness in reviewing and analyzing legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Utilize online databases, public records, and other resources to gather relevant information
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws related to property transactions
  • Clear and effective communication with team and supervisor
  • Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Maintain quality standard in performance

Qualifications:

To be successful in the Title Analyst role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Abstractor/Title Researcher
  • 5 years’ experience in Energy and/or Infrastructure Industry
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using title software and related tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Maintain effective working relationships
