Job Purpose and Overview
Under supervision, the Financial Analyst II will support the monthly close process by conducting reviews and performing journal entries for North America cost centers to accurately reflect monthly operating expenses and performing balance sheet reconciliations. The FAII will also complete sales commission calculations, be a reporting specialist and perform buy sell costing.
This is a hybrid position reporting to the home office location in Jackson, Michigan. The successful candidate for this role will be expected to work on-site for a minimum of 1 day per week, and on an as needed basis.
What will you do as a Financial Analyst II at Dawn Foods?
- Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial data.
- Be a knowledgeable business partner to North America Cost Center Owners by supporting monthly review meetings to go over operating expenses and make necessary accrual journal entries.
- Complete assigned Month End Tasks such as reserve calculations and entries
- Maintain monthly accruals for Sales team incentive calculations and support incentive payouts.
- Provide business partners with value added reporting and analysis on project savings, sample spend and customer fines.
- Publish operating expense reporting to cost center owners monthly.
- Complete costing for all buy/sell items.
- Performs other FP&A related duties as assigned or requested.
- Demonstrates the “Dawn Values” of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.
What Does It Take to be a Financial Analyst II at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field required.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance
- Previous month-end close experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in excel required.
- SAP experience highly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
