Key Responsibilities:
- Experience: 12-16 years leading and executing Campus Support, project delivery, IT operations, or IT consultancy assignments to design, develop, deliver and support viable network solutions, preferably in Corporate or similar industry preferred.
- Gathering Network Design Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather network design requirements, ensuring alignment with customer standards.
- LAN/WLAN Technology Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of LAN and WLAN technologies to design and implement robust network solutions.
- Deployment Strategy Leadership: Develop and lead deployment strategies, coordinating activities across suppliers, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, sharing knowledge and best practices within the community.
- Cisco router/switching/security certification or higher, required
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Campus LAN Discovery: Collect and document Campus LAN discovery information for onboarding to the day-to-day support program.
- Design Requirements: Work with the design team to produce designs meeting customer standards and requirements.
- Deployment Coordination: Lead the deployment process, ensuring a smooth handover to operations by coordinating activities across various stakeholders.
- Incident Resolution: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot network issues, escalating incidents when necessary, and initiating corrective actions.
- Capacity Planning: Develop and implement network capacity plans, ensuring optimal network performance.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), system configurations, implementation plans, and test plans.
- Customer Interface: Serve as the customer interface for scheduling network changes and coordinate the Change Management process.
Preferred Experience and Attributes:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent work experience
- Design Experience: Demonstrated experience in network design, requirement gathering, High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and configuration deployment.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite, Layer-2 Switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, authentication, security technologies, Internet, SDWAN, MPLS, Voice over IP, IP addressing, and subnetting.
- Networking Expertise: Expertise in configuring and managing Cisco LAN/WLAN, extensive experience in Networks and Telecommunications, and familiarity with network-based threats.
- IT Infrastructure Skills: Proficiency in routers, switches, WAN, LAN, TDM, VoIP, and other internetworking technologies.
- Management and Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Certifications: Cisco router/switching/security certification (CCNP), and knowledge of Python programming and app development for programmable networks.
- IT Operations Experience: Proven experience in stakeholder and relationship management, negotiation skills, and working in an (partially) outsourced environment.
- Service Management: Awareness of Agile and Scrum methodologies, Service Management processes (Support Models, Service Level Management, Contract Management, and Supplier Management).
