Position Summary:
The Thermal Interface Testing Intern will work with the Research & Development (R&D) Team to test and evaluate thermal properties contributing to the advancement of Thermal Interface Materials (TIM). The intern is responsible for helping to generate thermal conductivity and resistance testing data. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for chemistry and wants to get hands-on experience at a global material science organization.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare test samples.
•Characterize basic physical properties of Thermal Interface materials.
•Run thermal tests using TIMA5, LFA, and house-made thermal testers.
•Generate thermal conductivity and resistance data.
•Document and analyze the data of Thermal Interface materials.
•Present the results to internship program teams.
•Requirements:
•All interns must be active college students who have completed their freshman year and are enrolled in courses for the Fall semester of 2024.
•Pursuing a degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or another related field.
•Experience in thermal and mechanical engineering testing is preferred..
•Knowledge of working in a lab setting.
•Microsoft Office Experience required.
•Keen observation skills with excellent attention to detail.
Duration: June 3, 2024 – August 9, 2024
Shift: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Utica, NY
Wage Range: $17 - $21
