Come build your career with BAE Systems.As a Test Technician Intern at the Endicott, NY site you will have the opportunity to work in our Controls and Avionics Business area or our Power and Propulsion Systems Business area. You will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management or In Power & Propulsion Solutions, we re involved with everything from providing efficient, power management on military vehicles to developing eco-friendly, hybrid and electric systems for the commercial world. Be part of a team that is helping to keep the air we breathe much cleaner.Our Test Technician Internship program is a full-year program, intended for students just finishing the 1 st year of a 2-year technology degree. The work is full-time during the summer and winter breaks and part-time with flexible hours during the fall and spring semesters. This offers students the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience while finishing the final year of their degree, and the opportunity to see real world examples of the theories presented in classes. In this role, you will:Perform Manual and Automated Tests on Electronic and electro-mechanical assembliesWork Closely with Experienced Technicians and Test Engineers to troubleshoot test failuresWork to understand how and why we test the way that we doDemonstrate a thorough understanding of electronics principals though test failure analysis and troubleshootWork within the guidelines of BAE Systems operations proceduresRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsMust be finishing the first full year of a 2-year degree programAble to follow written procedures accuratelyMust be able to lift 40lbs unassistedPreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsFinishing the first full year of a 2 year electrical engineering technology programPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $36296 - $48984Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
