Form of workTHERAPY BILLER ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE POSITION OVERVIEW:
As part of the OCC Central Billing Office (CBO) you will work in collaboration with the other Therapy Billers and other CBO
team members. Therapy Billers are responsible for posting charges and AR follow-up.
THERAPY BILLDER ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs billing/post charges for Occupational and Physical Therapy
- Collaborates with therapist as relates to documentation, accuracy of billing, and policy changes
- Adheres to best practices for billing activities
- Performs AR follow up and maintains a current knowledge of insurance payer policies and guidelines as relates to therapy
- Identifies trends in denials and shares with leadership, team, and therapists
- Answers patient calls working towards resolution of questions, payments, or any billing issues
- Other duties as assigned
THERAPY BILLER ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE PAY & BENEFITS:
$ 19.00 - $22.00 Per hour based on experience

THERAPY BILLER ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 2 years of office experience in therapy billing and AR follow up
- Minimum 1 year college
- Experience with therapy billing and AR follow up
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written communication.
- Must possess knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and understanding of copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and denial codes,
- Proficient customer service skills.
- Allscripts experience preferred.
- Strong Organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Must be detailed oriented.
THERAPY BILLER ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Typical business office environment
- Possibility of local travel
- Constant viewing of computer monitor, mousing and typing
- Frequent standing, walking and sitting
- Frequent stooping, lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling 10 pounds or more
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Hours of business are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work early, late and long hours, as needed, to meet the essential functions of the job
