Job Description- Work with Division Director and Therapy staff to assist with expansion of existing and/or new programs.
- Provide Division Director with information concerning needs of the department.
- Provide supervision to all therapists and arrange meetings as needed. Assist Division Director in hiring new therapy staff.
- Plan and execute orientation program for new therapy staff; assist Division Director with orientation of new division staff to the Therapy Departments.
- Arrange for the instruction, training and supervision of the therapy assistants, aides and volunteers as needed.
- Arrange clinical education program for Speech and Language Therapy assistants and Speech and Language Therapy students as required.
- Complete performance appraisals for Speech and Language Therapy staff.
- Review requests for continuing education program.
- Maintain department equipment budget; identify and maintain system for ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment. Attend management meetings; disseminate information to therapy staff.
- Develop departmental policies and procedures in accordance with the division policy; maintain manual; assume responsibility for staff compliance.
- Conduct scheduled department meetings to communicate relevant information and review department needs.
- Maintain a caseload for SLP Therapy.
- Promote professional development of staff.
- Master's of Science Speech and Language Therapy required.
- PDE SLP certification required.
- Current SLP licensure required in Pennsylvania.
- Experience in clinical practice directly related to pediatrics.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Bending, stooping and lifting is required.
