Listed below are the essential job functions for the primary responsibilities that a Textile Machine Operator will perform, however, at any time manufacturing/supply chain demands may require the employee to work in non-production areas such as shipping, maintenance, or quality.

• Machine Operator - for the following production processing machines:
  
  • Warpers
  • Knitters
  • Braiders
  • Scouring Tanks
  • Fabric Setting Ovens
  • Slitters.
• Documentation - Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed properly and completely using GDP practices. Ensuring that engineering/quality/management is informed if there is an error or incomplete information on such documentation. Responsible for recording statistics during a run as required to assist site in building a data base for process improvements.
• Lifting - able to lift 50 lbs. Anything heavier will be considered a team lift or with equipment assisted lift. .
• Machine Repair - Responsible for minor machine repair so that production will not be impaired.
• Preventative Maintenance - will assist technicians as required, this will be used as OJT for further maintenance opportunities.
• Follow manufacturing procedures and Quality System requirements.
• Make recommendations for manufacturing process improvements and cost savings.
• Effectively communicate any manufacturing and quality concerns to QC/Eng./Management.
• Train other employees on new/revised procedures when required.
• The ability to work overtime.

Minimum Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED
