Temporary Patternmaker

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and creative Temporary Pattern Maker to join our dynamic team at a leading cabana and daybed company. This is a temporary position that may turn to a longer term role. This is ideal for someone with a passion for design and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating patterns for our unique range of cabanas and daybeds, ensuring that our products continue to stand out in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop patterns for new cabana and daybed models, considering both aesthetic appeal and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to translate concepts and sketches into workable patterns.
• Adjust and refine existing patterns to improve fit, function, and style.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure patterns are accurately interpreted and executed.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in outdoor furniture design and materials.
• Provide input on fabric selection and sourcing for prototypes and final products.
• Ensure all patterns meet the company's quality standards and sustainability goals.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pattern Maker, preferably in furniture design or a related field.
• Minimum of three years experience as a pattern maker.
• Strong knowledge of pattern making, draping, and textile properties.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing previous work and design capabilities.

Education:

• Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred but not essential with relevant experience.

Duration: This is a temporary position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
